The 607 ft. office tower by architects Denis Valode and Jean Pistre, completed in 2008, is currently the third tallest of La Défense, which is well on its way to becoming Manhattan on the Seine. Designed as a folded glass sheet with a curved north side, the building resembles the prow of a gigantic ship or a billowing sail, depending on the perspective, and fits in harmoniously with the existing environment. Its high energy efficiency makes it a next-generation skyscraper.
