At the heart of Europe’s largest business district, La Défense, the architect Jean-Paul Viguier also created, in 2001, one of the largest office blocks in Europe, with a surface of 3,770,000 sq. ft. Every day around 10,000 people flock in and out of Cœur Défense. The centerpiece of the six-building complex are the 590 ft. high, 79 ft. wide twin towers. The hallmark of this construction is this elegant expression of form, not least the result of the rounded forms of each building.
