Local before arrival
Ivo used to be a pizza delivery boy in New York; today he offers high-quality snack food in the Jardim district alongside beautiful things—cups, chocolate, and organic treats. Wherever he goes, he buys art and puts it in his “casa”—Tavares’ steps, for example, are made of driftwood from Brazil’s long surfing beaches. A live band also belongs to the location’s colorful cast of characters. They play bar jazz softly in the background—an oasis of calm in the middle of São Paulo.
