Local before arrival
The koi carp, one of which is said to be a proud 15 years old, swim almost into the lobby. The Ziláh is more of a hostel than a hotel and offers the best opportunity to stay in São Paulo’s most beautiful district for a reasonable price. The restaurant delights its guests with lamb and beef dishes. Restaurant visitors include doctors from the largest clinic in Brazil, which is right next door, who like to stop by for lunch. The colonial building gives the air of being by the sea—instead of 50 miles away from the Atlantic Ocean.
