Local before arrival
An airy, garage-like ground floor provides the blank white walls to exhibit innovative, versatile work of Swiss artists, both established and new. The Swiss Institute describes itself as a “forum for cultural dialogue between Switzerland, Europe and the United States.” According to those in charge, the result is a distinct perception of art: one that asks the audience to break with traditional assumptions about art and national stereotypes.
