Local before arrival
Founded in 1816, this shoe company counted Emperor Franz Joseph as one of its customers. Today Markus Scheer represents the seventh generation to run the company and combines traditional craftsmanship with modern leather design. Visitors can admire custom-made shoes and accessories in the showroom opened in 2012; with its vaulted cellar, it also serves as a gourmet spot. The handcrafted products gleam in front of exposed wallpaper and murals from over 100 years ago. This is living history!
