There’s just something so beautifully English about strolling through the delightful, historic Kew Gardens – home to one of the world’s largest collection of living plants. One feels like one should be putting on one’s best Sunday bonnet! Created in 1759, the gardens recently celebrated their 250th anniversary. A walk around the 120 hectares and you feel as though you’re still in that bygone era – especially when stepping inside the magical Palm House, built between 1844 and 1848. A sunny day must-do.
