An area of 4 square miles makes Southwest London’s Richmond Park the largest of the Royal Parks. At one time envisioned by King Edward I as deer hunting grounds, the walled compound still hosts a herd of 650 free-roaming red and fallow deer to this day. Further attractions are the Isabella Plantations featuring rare species of plants as well as a hill from which the eye can see as far as the Saint Paul’s Cathedral 10 miles away.
