During her schooldays, Nao Shirato drew the cartoon chicken which has today become the mascot and namesake of her small Japanese diner. She serves authentic Japanese curry, marinated beef on rice, stuffed bao buns, or “onigiri”—rice wrapped in seaweed with different fillings. Until now, all dishes have only been available as take-away, but this should change in the future with the addition of tables and seating. And you can take away more than just edible items: You will also find original accessories with Nao’s cartoon chicken as well as Japanese ceramics.
