Thanks to a complete refurbishment of this central public square and its surrounding buildings, the Praça das Artes has become São Paulo’s primary cultural hub. This complex houses some of the city’s most prominent cultural institutions like the Municipal Theatre, the São Paulo Ballet Company, choirs, performance groups, and dance schools. Head over during the afternoon to catch impromptu shows by rehearsing performers.
