In December 2010, around 400 works of 20th-century art found a new home in the Palazzo dell’Arengario, which was restored and rebuilt by Italo Rota and his team of architects. The art collection includes works from the Cubist and Arte Povera movements, as well as from the famous Italian Futurism movement, which originated in Milan in 1909. Special exhibitions feature the works of individual artists or rarely presented pieces from Milanese art collections.
