In the 19th century, brothers Fausto and Giuseppe Bagatti Valsecchi wanted to create a very special domicile. From all corners of Europe, they collected Renaissance artwork and furniture, along with musical instruments, armaments, tapestries, and even a bishop’s chair. The brothers also integrated running water into spectacular marble fountains. Thanks to their efforts, the palazzo itself became a work of art, reflecting the taste of the Milanese nobility of that period.
