Built in 1894 in the Jugenstil style, Muffathalle is located right behind Müller’sches Volksbad. The former steam-heating power plant with its highly visible smokestack is a protected monument. Since its renovation in 1992, it has been Munich’s most important cultural center. In the hall, café, beer garden, and Ampere Club, visitors find a richly varied program beyond the cultural mainstream, presented in a uniquely beautiful and very relaxing green setting.
