It was the first skyscraper in Frankfurt: The expressionistic brick tower rises up over 108 feet from the grounds of the Mouson soap and perfume factory. Constructed in 1924–1925, the building is now protected as a historical monument; the rest of the factory has been torn down. Since 1988, Mousonturm has been home to the eponymous space for artists, providing a venue for national and international productions from the fields of dance, cabaret, theater, music, and literature.
