Local before arrival
“Everything is architecture” – Hans Hollein’s credo is reflected in the characteristic design of each room in the museum of modern art. The Viennese architect managed to use the triangular floor area to create a building of the same shape. The form of the rooms, their relation to each other, and the special distribution of light make this building unique. The approximately 40 rooms and their different designs allow an interplay between the exhibits and the architecture.
