Local before arrival
It’s not your typical movie theater. What has long been Frankfurt’s only art house cinema is tucked away on a side street in an ordinary apartment building. Visitors find themselves in an eccentric living room atmosphere and enjoying an ambitious program of international films, usually in the original language with subtitles. They can then follow up the unique cinematic experience with a lively chat over snacks, wine, or coffee at the Café Filmriss.
