Earlier guests of the Lloyd didn’t spend the night voluntarily: It was used as a prison for many decades. However, this striking building in the Eastern Docklands was originally constructed in 1921 as a luxury hotel for émigrés. The spirit of the past hasn’t disappeared altogether: An overnight stay at the Lloyd Hotel is a special experience. Organized into categories from one to five stars, rooms here are all different and furnished by Dutch designers in a retro style.
