LE MARCHÉ DES ENFANTS ROUGES
PHOTOS MAPS

This market, founded in the 17th century, is among the oldest of Paris. The name itself comes from the orphanage once found on the premises, where red-clad children used to play. After many years of being closed, the market was reopened in November 2000. Visitors and locals meet on 21,500 square feet to enjoy the unique diversity of the stands where countless types of food are prepared: next to Japanese and Moroccan fare, there are also classic French crepes.
