Local before arrival
Café des Stagiaires has become such a fixture that some refer to it only as “the French guys.” Actually, there are now three such restaurants in Shanghai. The employees are interns or students, recruited exclusively from the hotel school in Lausanne. They create a casual atmosphere, making guests feel right at home. Only few in fast-paced Shanghai manage to create a loyal customer base that keeps coming back for more of the familiar and sociable atmosphere of the neighborhood hangout.
