Local before arrival
This is where Roberto Blanco meets theatre directors: For decades, Kronenhalle, the traditional restaurant right next to the Bellevue, has been a meeting place for members of old Zurich families, theatre people and jet-setters. It serves wholesome Swiss food with a special something: liveried waiters dispense the rösti and bratwurst out of silver bowls directly at the table. The Kronenhalle also has a noteworthy collection of Swiss art to call its own. A visit to the traditional bar, with its dark wood and green leather, is worth your while. Bar chef Peter Roth has a lot of stories he could tell about his illustrious guests.
