Rüdiger Schöttle was the first to introduce many renowned artists to the German market, including Jenny Holzer, Dan Graham, Jeff Wall, Andreas Gursky, and Thomas Ruff. He also represents Munich painter Florian Süssmayr, whose work has attracted a great deal of attention. The attractive gallery has been an important forum for contemporary art since it opened its doors in 1968. Schöttle’s book Bestiarum der Kunst inspired the Haus der Kunst to put on an eponymous exhibition.
