‘Anyone who seriously grapples with the term “sustainability” quickly learns that it doesn't involve short-term thinking’. A straightforward statement by Daniel Freitag. Together with Bruder Markus, he founded the cult-label Freitag in 1993. The one-of-a-kind bags, made from recycled truck tarpaulins and seatbelts, are produced in Zurich, but now the company has shops in Berlin, Hamburg, New York and Tokyo. The roof of the flagship store – a tower of containers in the middle of District 5 – offers a singular view of urban Zurich.
