LA’s farm-to-table movement has really taken off in the past few years, and Farmshop was one of the first to jump on the bandwagon. With a restaurant and a delicatessen/grocer for gourmets looking to take some goodies home with them, there is a real stress on “local” here—even the dishware is from a local ceramicist. Go for the crispy artichokes with burrata cheese and apples for a starter, followed by the avocado and bulgur wheat salad with pomegranate, persimmons, mint, and whipped fromage blanc, both healthy and utterly satisfying.
