A churrascaria is a steakhouse, Brazilian style. A dozen waiters walk around with pieces of beef and then slice the meat onto guests’ plates until they tell them to stop. There’s also a gigantic buffet with salads, cheeses, and vegetables. Fathers love taking their whole family to eat here. The Fogo is the king of the churrascarias—open near the airport since 1987, and built in the hacienda style; people can check in directly from the airport for their first Brazilian meal.
