This 11-story house of worship, built in 2002, inspires awe in the believer, just as cathedrals have always done. Its architecture pays homage to the words of Jesus: “I am the light of the world.” Sunlight streams through the alabaster windows and slanted shafts into the enormous sanctuary made from exposed concrete. To get there, you follow an unusual path: A gently upward sloping corridor leads to the main sanctuary, where the view spreads out past a bubbling baptismal font.
