Local before arrival
The name says it all: this little café is only open from April to September. It’s located in the courtyard of the Palau Reial Major, a three-building compound which was the royal residence of the Kingdom of Catalonia-Aragón in the Middle Ages. Today the palace houses the Museu Frederic Marès, with an art collection that includes some national treasures. The café entrance is tucked away just behind the cathedral, so stop by to enjoy a coffee and a little treat under the orange trees.
