When the Portuguese-Greek couple Paula and George took over this former East German bakery, they chose to keep much of the interior intact while adding their own Mediterranean flavor, making this place particularly charming. Time seems to stand still here where fresh baked goods are prepared by hand everyday without any preservatives or pre-made baking mixes. If you’re not in a rush, be sure to order a galão or a frappé – it’s almost like being on vacation.
