The Bayerischer Hof opened its doors in 1841 at the request of King Ludwig I, serving from the beginning as suitable lodgings for important state guests and other illustrious personages. A visit to the hotel is recommended even for nonguests, for instance the fantastic falk’s Bar in the hall of mirrors. Or the Restaurant Atelier, redesigned by Axel Vervoordt, whose use of elegant natural tones has turned the interior into a fitting backdrop for the star-awarded cuisine. The hotel’s crown jewel, however, is the three-story Blue Spa with bar and rooftop patio. A luxurious Cinema Lounge has just recently been opened.
