This bar is located in the cradle of Rio’s world-famous Carnaval, in a house built in 1867. With that legacy, it only seems natural that the house specialty would be varieties of samba. The musical menu changes daily: Mondays, classic samba; Tuesdays, chorine; Wednesdays, roda de samba; Thursdays, jongo; Fridays maracatu, coco, and ciranda, and on and on…. Those who (hopefully) get a bit hot in here are free to order a cold beer or a refreshing caipirinha and enjoy the vibe.
