Passengers usually rush through this railway building built by Florentine architect Ulisse Stacchini and inaugurated in 1931. Yet it is well worth spending some time here: Measuring 680 feet long and 118 feet high, the façade is made of stone and marble and decorated with friezes, reliefs, and statues, concealing an impressive barrel vault within. The Galleria di Testa features panoramic city scenes of Rome, Turin, Florence, and naturally of Milan, created using Majolica ceramic tiles.
