The classical art of horsemanship has been cultivated at this Vienna landmark and crowd-pleaser for centuries. Visitors flock to see the Lipizzaner stallions perform their morning exercises or more structured “ballets” in the light-filled, baroque riding hall. The school has been organizing a colorful summer ball called the Fête Impériale every year since 2010. It’s an extravagant evening and all proceeds go towards horse breeding and maintaining this Viennese tradition.
