Designed by Garofalo Miura and dedicated in 2001, the church of Santa Maria Josefa del Cuore di Gesù is located in Castelverde di Lunghezza within the diocese of Rome. Particularly striking are the community center painted red, the tall bell tower, and the tall main structure with its square footprint. White concrete panels reflect the light from its façade all the way into the presbytery. The church’s patron saint, who died in 1912, was canonized in October of 2000.
