Local before arrival
A walk through Blankenese’s famous Hillside Quarter is a must, as is the subsequent stop here. Its cosy interior reminds you of an old English tearoom. Besides for substantial home made cakes (beware the size of the pieces!) they also do a delicious cream tea with scones. Maybe this is why many of the locals turn up wearing quilted green jackets – they seem to hope it gives them the air of the British gentry!
