It all started in 1930 when Paul and Elsa Käfer opened a grocery store on Amalienstraße. Today, Käfer is a Munich institution with an international presence. The flagship store on Prinzregentenstraße is a paradise for epicures and gourmets. Featuring an open fireplace, a small library, and lots of fur and leather, the lounge is an oasis of relaxation—the ideal hangout to while away time between shopping in the delicatessen and eating in the restaurant.
