Local before arrival
When the cable factory closed in 1997, the Kabelwerk became an urban development project. After housing a variety of cultural projects, it became the latest large-scale residential building project. Construction began in 2004 under the guidance of several architectural teams; since 2005, the buildings have been gradually turned over to residents. This diverse yet harmonious complex includes apartments, businesses, geriatrics center, preschools, and recreational areas (panorama swimming pool), interspersed with paths, courtyards, green areas, and playgrounds.
