This modern art gallery is housed in the spacious rooms of the neoclassical Villa Belgiojoso Bonaparte, also referred to as the Royal Villa of Milan. Visitors to this palace in the Giardini Pubblici can admire the works of Italian artists from the late 18th and 19th centuries, including pieces by painter Andrea Appiani and sculptor Antonio Canova. The gallery also features paintings by pioneers of modern art, such as Amedeo Modigliani, Pablo Picasso, Vincent Van Gogh, and Paul Gauguin.
