Couples dance samba, tango, bolero, and salsa in the big hall. Some of the men dress in true vintage style, with white pants, panama hats, and elegant, bi-colored shoes. Teachers show students how to move and challenge damsels who don't have a dancing partner. The motto is written on the walls—“There’s still hope so long as you keep dancing”—along with the school rules: Out of respect for dance, kissing and indecent behavior are prohibited!
