Local before arrival
Designed by architect Adrien Fainsilber and resembling a futuristic factory of steel and glass, this science and technology museum opened in 1986. Its mission is to spread scientific and technical knowledge; through interactive experiments, it introduces visitors to many different natural phenomena. Special exhibitions focusing on the environment and industrial design complete the program. A giant silver sphere, called La Géode, is home to a spectacular 3-D movie theater.
