Local before arrival
Designed by Coop Himmelb(l)au, BMW Welt is the city’s most architecturally spectacular building. Since 2007 the futuristic construct is at once showroom, event headquarters, and signboard of the Bavarian automobile manufacturer. Delivery of the vehicle to its new owner is staged here as a spectacular public happening. Cars, motorcycles and motors from the almost 100-year-long history of BMW are also featured, informing guests about the development of the company in seven thematic areas.
