This house, designed by Theis + Khan, offers maximum space for minimum surface area. Its basis is an energy efficient concrete construction, where open units stretch out over five floors to create a variety of outlines. These units are used as living spaces and architects’ offices. Roof terraces and ceiling-high glass walls allow panoramic views. Bateman’s Row has won the RIBA Award, the RIBA London Building of the Year Award 2010, and was nominated for the Stirling Prize.
