“Space for Art” is a fitting byname for this gallery because it is filled with a dynamic pioneering spirit rather than the kind of mechanical devotion you might find in a museum. Arter is more of a studio—a platform where artists can try out and display their art. Launched by the Vehbi Koç Foundation, the gallery has set itself the noble goal of making artistic processes visual. Four floors showcase contemporary art, including many installations and sculptures of Turkish artists.
