Local before arrival
Since the 1980s, Arcana has been the place to go for limited-edition or out-of-print books on art, photography, and architecture. Whitney and Lee Kaplan are passionate collectors of such titles. In the summer of 2012, they began showcasing their 100,000 volumes in a space reminiscent of a university library. The industrial-style room is filled with light and furnished with plain, powder-coated metal shelves. Book lovers will be hard pressed to depart without a literary treasure.
