Local before arrival
Some of the most expensive paintings in the world have been auctioned here, including Picasso's “Boy with a pipe.” Samuel Baker established this famous auction house in London in 1744; today there are 100 branch offices worldwide, one of which is in Hamburg. Visitors to the exhibition rooms can see art works before their auction in London or at other Sotheby's branches. Furthermore, it is also possible to have art and valuables appraised here free of charge.
