Local before arrival
In 2012, the Parisian gallery owner Magda Danysz moved from downtown to a huge room of over 10,000 sf in the remote suburb Yangpu. Her program of exhibits includes the names of young and established Chinese and international artists. Among them the street artists JonOne, JR, Vhils, or Sten & Lex, who have literally left their traces on the actual streets of Shanghai. The portraits that Vhils chiseled into the outer wall of the gallery are a definite must for every visitor to the gallery.
