Local before arrival
Le Comptoir Général is a cultural center for everyone. Museum, bar, cinema, and restaurant all in one, this place, designed by the artistic agency Shock, is dedicated to ghetto art. Time has rubbed off the original luster of this majestic building, leaving only decayed moldings, a worn out parquet floor, and a few wild plants growing in the hidden courtyard. Slightly roguish, the founders contribute to a united, one-of-a-kind, responsible, and open artistic language.
