Completed in 2008, this project by architects Valode & Pistre is part of the redesign of Porte des Lilas and aims to create a synthesis between city and suburbs. The L-shaped building framing a garden is energy-efficient and its façades are in harmony with the environment, such as the 367 ft. northwestern façade with its irregular folds. Some of its glass surfaces are printed with the branches of a chestnut tree, designed by artist Elisabeth Ballet.
