Frank Landau is a design philosopher who likes to look for things. His specialty: design classics from the 20th century. He can offer advice for creaking Cherner chairs and can date Eames molded plastic chairs based on their seam. A rear courtyard with Brooklyn flair accommodates an exhibition (4,305 square feet), a warehouse (approximately 1,000 pieces), and a workshop. This is a treasure trove of rare design and art pieces available for purchase and rent—including, for instance, the only Frankfurt kitchen designed by Margarete Schütte-Lihotzky in 1926 to be converted into a standalone kitchen unit.
