Local before arrival
This industrial building emanates a raw sort of charm. The furnishings are modest and the walls are roughly plastered. The timeworn chairs, wooden tables and candles successfully convey a friendly atmosphere. The menu, written on a blackboard, presents a choice of changing, classic dishes including fish soup and green salad with prawns. This bar serves mostly Belgian beers that come from all over the country, not just Mechelen.
