PORTOBELLO MARKET
PHOTOS MAPS STREET VIEW

Although it reached global audiences through the hugely popular Brit flick Notting Hill, way before Hugh Grant and his floppy fringe made Portobello Market famous, this London institution was attracting visitors as far back as the 19th century. Originally a fresh produce market on Portobello Road, it began to sell antiques in the ’60s and now has a little bit of everything. Antiques, crafts, fresh food, clothes – you name it, and chances are someone’s selling it on a rickety trestle along this historic stretch of street.
