Churros are a Spanish specialty made from choux pastry deep-fried in oil, sprinkled with sugar, and served hot in a simple paper bag. They are traditionally eaten for breakfast, on the way home after a night of partying, and on New Year's morning. The San Román family has been preparing churros at this shop, one of the oldest in Barcelona, according to a traditional recipe since 1969.
